St Augustine (354-430) was an influential Christian theologian and one of the Latin Fathers of the Church. After converting to Christianity from Manichaeism in 387, St. Augustine became Bishop of Hippo, a position he held until his death. His most enduring works include The Confessions, The City of God, On Christian Doctrine, and On the Trinity.
