Joan S. Gray was ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament in 1978, and since then has served eight churches as pastor/head of staff, interim pastor, solo pastor, associate pastor, or parish associate. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia and is an adjunct faculty member at Johnson C. Smith Seminary and Columbia Theological Seminary. She leads retreats and officer training events for presbyteries and congregations. With Joyce Tucker, she is co-author of Presbyterian Polity for Church Officers.


Joyce C. Tucker is Dean of Continuing Education Emerita at Princeton Theological Seminary. She was formerly Director of the Committee on Theological Education of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A).
