Surely everyone has an opinion on this hot topic! Is there any legitimacy to the arguments of the "other side"? What's at stake for same-sex couples?

Moral issues involving sexuality tend to generate enormous controversy, a fact that has been clear in the ongoing debates in the church and in the public arena regarding homosexuality in general and marriage between two people of the same sex, specifically. Members of many Christian denominations have been alienated from other Christians by the debate over whether a church should support or even tolerate marriage between two men or two women.

The primary aim of this session is to give a fair hearing to arguments for and against marriage between two people of the same gender. Participants are encouraged to listen respectfully to one another by giving serious consideration to the integrity of both "pro" and "con" arguments. Participants should feel safe in expressing their own opinions without fear of being put down by other participants and, in turn, should state their own opinions in a manner that is respectful of their opponents.
