God's gift of grace as illustrated in the Bible seems to go against our sense of justice and economy in the world yet perhaps that contradiction is what makes it such a critical element of our Christian faith.

The goal of this study is to assist youth in understanding God's grace, which illuminates how we are called to love others. For youth who may be struggling with a variety of challenging issues, grace may be one of the most misunderstood, and most needed, theological concepts. We do not receive grace because we deserve it; God gives grace freely because he loves us, and we are called to do the same for others.

Just as Jesus did when he lived among us, this study uses two parables to help illustrate this abstract concept: the parable of the lost sheep and the parable of the lost coin, both from the Gospel of Luke.

God's grace may be a difficult concept to grasp, but this study will help youth (and leaders) understand this gift.
