Believers address God in a variety of ways. The names and titles of God are as varied as the individuals and cultures in the Bible. In this study participants will explore different names for God, reflect on the words and names they use when praying, and talk about how the names they choose may influence their understanding of who God is and what role God is playing in their lives.
In addition to discussing names for God, this study also encourages teens to brainstorm or search online for different names or descriptions of God that appear in the Bible. Then they are to choose one that is different than the one they would normally use. This is sure to be an interesting and enlightening experiment!
