For many, Lent is a time when we challenge ourselves to give up something that holds more power over us than we know it should. And while (to a certain extent) the practices of giving up personal indulgences do capture the meaning of the Lenten journey, in its fullest sense, the season of Lent is about so much more. In this study, youth will use historical, liturgical, and spiritual resources to develop a broad and deep response to the question, what is Lent?
