에스겔: 절망 속에 숨겨진 새 소망의 신비로운 역사

Ezekiel: The mystery of new hope disguised in despair

When the things we rely on are collapsed, and the meaning and the motivation of life are dissolved into the thin air, we are to be frustrated and suffer in despair. It is the context in which Ezekiel, though he was a priest, was called as prophet. It is the sovereign intervention and revelation of God that drives him from the circumstances of giving up into a new hope. The fact that makes the book of Ezekiel distinctive from other prophetic books in the Old Testament is literary variety such as, vision, revelation, proverbs, reenactment, poetry, and metaphor transcending just simple sermons and narratives. Ezekiel helps the Israelites to retrospect their sinful past and to turn around from ground zero to a new beginning. The Book of Ezekiel will provide participants with a new chance to grasp the faithfulness of God from failure of life.
