요한복음
삶 속에서 만난 예수 그리스도 
요한복음의 기록 목적은 사람들로 하여금 예수님께서 하나님의 아들 그리스도이심을 믿고 그 이름을 힘입어 생명을 얻게 하려는 것이다(요20:31). 요한복음은 이러한 목적에 맞게 예수님께서 하나님의 아들 그리스도이심을 증거하는 일곱 개의 표적 – 가나 혼인 잔치 기적(요 2:1-11), 왕의 신하의 아들의 치유(요 4:46-54), 베데스다 연못에서의 치유(요 5:1-9), 오병이어의 기적(요 6:1-15), 물 위를 걸으신 기적(요 6:16-21), 날 때부터 맹인된 사람의 치유(요 9:1-12), 죽은 나사로를 살리신 기적(요 11:1-44) – 과 함께 삶의 현장에서 예수님을 만나 그분을 자신의 주님이시며 하나님으로 고백한 사람들의 신앙 이야기를 소개한다. 본 교재는 일곱 개의 표적들 중 세 개와, 예수님을 그리스도로 믿고 영접함으로 변화된 사람들의 이야기를 선별하여 소개할 것이다. 더 나아가, 예수님을 통해 변화된 사람들의 모습 속에서 우리 삶에 적용할 것을 찾아 실천하도록 도전을 줄 것이다.

Encountering Jesus Christ in Life
The purpose of the Gospel of John is to lead others to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and to have life through His name (John 20:31). For this purpose, the Gospel of John introduces the stories of the faith of those who met Jesus in their lives and confessed Him as their Lord and God, along with seven signs testifying that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: (1) the miracle of the wedding feast in Cana (John 2:1–11), (2) the healing of the son of a royal official (John 4:46–54), (3) the healing at a pool called Bethesda (John 5:1–9), (4) the miracle of five small barley loaves and two small fish (John 6:1–15), (5) the miracle of walking on the water (John 6:16–21), (6) the healing of a man born blind (John 9:1–12), and (7) the miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1–44). This study guide will introduce three of the seven signs and the stories of people who have been changed by believing and accepting Jesus as the Christ. Furthermore, it will challenge us to find and put into practice what we can apply to our lives from the stories of people who met Jesus.
