‘The Great Realignment’: Pastors Come and Go
The pandemic has taken a toll on congregational leadership. As one pastor put it, Covid often made good pastoral relationships better and weaker pastoral relationships worse. All of a sudden, churches were thrown into the middle of contentious debates over in-person worship and events, masks, pastoral care and more. But the Covid realignment isn’t all negative. The pandemic also awakened pastors’ dreams and led to exploring new calls.
