우리 그리스도인들은 행함이 아니라 오직 믿음으로 구원을 받는다는 복음을 잘 알고 있습니다. 하지만 하나님 나라 복음은 믿음으로 구원 받는다는 것에서 끝나지 않고, 구원 받은 자들에게 어떻게 살아야할 것까지도 제시해 줍니다. 믿음으로 구원을 받은 것은 끝이 아니라 시작일 뿐입니다. 믿음으로 구원을 받은 자들은 하나님 나라 백성답게 사는 법을 배워야 합니다. 이스라엘 백성은 우리의 구원을 의미하는 홍해를 건넌 후 하나님 나라 백성답게 사는 훈련을 제대로 통과하지 못한 채 불행한 최후를 맞이했습니다. 우리 그리스도인들은 이스라엘 백성을 반면 교사 삼아 하나님 나라 백성답게 사는 훈련을 결코 게을리 해서는 안될 것입니다. <킹덤 라이프: 신명기>가 이 훈련에 작은 보탬이 될 것입니다.

Christians understand well that salvation comes not by works, but solely through faith in the gospel. However, the gospel of the kingdom of God goes beyond the concept of receiving salvation through faith; it also provides guidance on how those who have received salvation should live. Receiving salvation by faith is not the end but the beginning. Those who have received salvation by faith must learn how to live as the people of the kingdom of God. The people of Israel, after crossing the Red Sea, unfortunately faced an unhappy ending as they failed to undergo proper training in living as the people of the kingdom of God, which symbolizes our salvation. As Christians, we must not neglect the lessons from the people of Israel but rather take them as a warning and learn how to live as the people of the kingdom of God. will be a helpful guide in this training.
