  • In times of rapid change, it is often hard to know whether we are choosing the right path. Resistance, love, fear, intolerance, denial, and loyalty all combine to create the perfect storm of uncertainty. We make choices and take risks without all the information, never totally sure if we've done the right thing.

The academy Award-nominated film Doubt wrestles with times such as these in the life of a small Catholic school for boys. In this one-session study, viewers are invited to think about the need for community in dealing with doubt and what can be confusing about deciding who is doing "God's will" in the world. This Leader's Guide also offers an alternative two-session model for discussion.
