The bookstores are FULL of books about the exhausted parent, but most are directed toward the parents of newborns, young children, and children with special needs. But what about the parents of teens who suffer from fatigue, weariness, and loss of energy as well?

Exhaustion is more than merely feeling tired. Exhaustion is extreme and extends to our physical, mental, and spiritual state of health--the very core of our being. It's difficult to separate our physical, mental, and spiritual health as they are so dependent on one another, but they are like the three legs of a stool. If one gives way, the others are sure to follow.

This study explores common causes of parental exhaustion and addresses healthier ways of managing the demands that our teens make on our time, our emotions, and our spirits. We'll address the importance of caring for own needs, not out of selfishness, but as a means of maintaining our strength so we can care for our teens.

Questions for discussion are included with this study, so take the time by yourself or with a group of equally tired parents to relax, regroup, and come away with some great ideas for nurturing your mind, body, and soul.
