Understanding the intersections of global politics and faith is important for any Christian, and the tense relations between church and state in Russia provide a great opportunity for further study. This two-session adult study examines the changing roles between church and state in Russia before and after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. This study is meant to be an introduction to Russian history, culture, and religion, as well as an exploration of how nationalism and religion coexist.
