On November 1, 2013, the annual program funding for SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) decreased by about $5 billion, and both the House of Representatives and the Senate have proposed additional cuts. What should Christians do, if anything, about the proposed cuts? And whose responsibility is it to worry about and help feed the poor? In this one- session study, "In the News - SNAP in Danger: Congressional Funding for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program as Risk," Christians will learn about food insecurity and the SNAP program.
