For many people, discussing matters of sexuality with children is one of those painful, periodic duties parents must assume. Despite being berated by images of sexually explicit advertising and content in television shows and movies, sexuality is a subject seldom mentioned in our churches or in Christian homes.
Yet, created by God, we are all sexual beings. How have we allowed such a holy and good part of our lives to be shoved under the carpet? What kind of message are we giving children when discussions of sexuality are not welcomed in church and at home?
This two-session study attempts to help parents and mentors of children address their fears and offers some guidance for how to incorporate healthy sex talk into relationships between adults and children.
