Do we need organized religion in order to be a people of faith? To those who use these two words interchangeably this may seem an absurd question, but to others there is a real distinction, and while religious people pretty much always consider themselves faithful, faithful people don't always consider themselves religious.
This two session study allows participants to name all the things they dislike about the institutional church. Session one covers the many things Christians disagree about today and expresses the frustration many have with the church. The second session looks at the question from the other direction. It outlines the many incredible things the institutional church does and continues to do in witnessing to the risen Christ. Participants will be challenged to name the things their church is doing they can be proud of and to consider what they might do to make things better. Get ready for a lively discussion!
