In churches around the world all Christians practice the act of baptism. The specific practice, age of the baptized person, and theological understandings of Christians concerning baptism have, since its inception, ranged across the gamut. In fact, denominations have split over precisely how to practice baptism! Perhaps the only thing we all agree on is that this is one of the most important acts of the Christian faith, symbolizing a person's entrance into the Christian community, the forgiveness of their sins, and that this person is indeed a child of God who is loved like all others. We believe that somehow, through our baptism, we become new people.
This session invites your participants to explore what the Bible says and what your denominational practices are regarding baptism. They will be encouraged to remember their baptism and be grateful.
