Explore the characteristics of a disciple this Lenten season. Written by Marianne Blickenstaff, this six-session adult study pack explores various discipleship traits including: perseverance; learning and devotion; the faith to take risks; the ability to work with others; and humility. Each session will challenge adults to ponder the characteristics of those who follow Jesus and to look for ways the qualities can be included and strengthened in their own faith journeys.
Each session includes a Participant Handout and a Leader's Guide that helps a leader facilitate a forty-five minute session. The Leader's Guide features prayers, discussion questions, teaching alternatives, and more.

Marianne Blickenstaff has taught biblical studies and languages at Belmont University and Vanderbilt University in Nashville and at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She was project manager for the five- volume New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible (Abingdon) and served as an acquisition editor for Westminster John Knox Press. She is the writer of many Bible studies and a book, While the Bridegroom Is with Them (T&T Clark, 2005), about the radical nature of Jesus's call to discipleship.
