How serious is the issue of bullying at school? What makes a bully? What should Christians do about it?
Contrary to what many of us have been led to believe, bullying is not just a short-term agony. The American Medical Association confirms that bullying "is not just another childhood problem that will eventually be outgrown, but rather a public health problem that can have long-lasting effects for both the bully and the victim." If bullying is a pervasive problem with long-term detrimental effects, then it's time for Christians to take the problem seriously. Bullying is not a problem that will go away without systematic and sustained intervention.
