Growing numbers of Christians are expressing concern about a phenomenon called sex trafficking we knew little about only a few years ago.

This study explores the scope of the problem and provides definitions of various aspects that contribute and have led to the spread of sex trafficking. Session 1 is an overview of the issue and contains important distinctions and definitions of the various aspects involved. Sessions 2 through 4 discuss ways individuals and groups can respond.

Session 2 examines the power dynamics in trafficking, particularly gender discrimination. It looks at two specific examples of where trafficking can occur: in immigration and in forced marriage. Session 3 discusses the role globalization plays in the spread of sex trafficking and the economic benefits it gives to traffickers and the international tourism industry, as well as the economic toll it exacts on the health of women and children. Session 4 deals with the role of the Internet in the proliferation of pornography and sexual exploitation and how that affects both consumers and victims.

In addition to the Participant Handouts and Leader's Guides, an interdenominational resource sheet is provided, which has been put together with the help of various mainline denominations that provide their members with resources on the issue.
