We're bombarded with instances of perceived injustice every day whether at home, in school, or on the front page of the newspaper. We're quick to say we love our family, our friends, and our brothers and sisters in Christ, however we don't always demonstrate that love through our actions. And while we strive to walk humbly, there are some powerful distractions along the way that raise questions as to whether we are truly "with God."
Sometimes young people do the wrong thing but feel they had a "good reason." Sometimes they do the right thing--but their reasons were wrong or selfish. What does God require of us? Simply to do the right thing for the right reason. But sometimes there's nothing simple about it. The book of Micah addresses this concept in a compelling way.
In this three-session study for youth, we'll explore strategies for meeting God's requirements for us. The book of Micah asserts that God wants us to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God. Participants will explore these terms alongside the book of Micah to discover the truth of these terms and to find their own path in life as they figure out what God requires of them.
