Phyllis Trible is University Professor of Biblical Studies at Wake Forest University Divinity School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is also Baldwin Professor Emerita of Sacred Literture at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She is considered a leader in the text-based exploration of women and gender in Scripture, has lectured extensively in North America and abroad.
