Henri J. M. Nouwen was a highly respected author and priest whose full and diverse career included teaching at the University of Notre Dame and at the Divinity Schools of Yale and Harvard, working with the Trappist monks in the Abbey of the Genesee, and living with the poor in Peru. He authored more than forty books, including The Wounded Healer, In the Name of Jesus, and The Way of the Heart.
