Stanley M. Hauerwas

Stanley M. Hauerwas is Gilbert T. Rowe Professor of Theological Ethics at Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina. In 2001, Time Magazine named him "America's Best Theologian." He is the author of A Community of Character: Toward a Constructive Christian Social Ethic, Matthew: Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible, and The State of the University: Academic Knowledges and the Knowledge of God.
