He is the author or editor of several books, including Responsive Labor: A Theology of Work; The Lord and Giver of Life: Perspectives on Constructive Pneumatology; Living Hope: The Future and Christian Faith; God, Desire, and a Theology of Human Sexuality; 1 and 2 Samuel in the Belief series. He is an active member of the American Academy of Religion and speaks regularly in academic and church settings.
